About Our Studio & Gallery

A Gallery Without Walls. A Studio With Reach.

The Distelheim Gallery is intentionally built as a digital-first platform, designed to meet collectors wherever they are, and to make meaningful work accessible across a wide spectrum of engagement. While our foundation is rooted in legacy and fine art tradition, our reach is expansive. The majority of our collection is presented online, allowing us to offer everything from large-format, museum-scale masterworks to thoughtfully produced limited edition prints, wearable pieces, collector-grade note cards, and emerging formats including digital works and NFTs.

This approach is not about dilution, it is about inclusion. It allows a seasoned collector, a first-time buyer, and a cultural enthusiast to all find a point of entry into the work, without compromising the integrity, authorship, or narrative behind it.

At the center of this ecosystem is our studio gallery, located in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood within a historic artist loft building. This space is where the work is conceived, created, and brought to life. It is a hybrid environment, where paint, palette, and old-world artistic processes coexist seamlessly with advanced digital capabilities.

Here, we produce not only visual art, but also the supporting media that defines how art lives today: filmed salon presentations, streamed exhibitions, documentary storytelling, interviews, promotional films, and original content designed for both collectors and the broader cultural audience.

This fusion of physical craft and digital production makes the Distelheim Gallery a uniquely integrated creative resource, one that extends beyond the traditional boundaries of a gallery.

The studio also serves as a private, experiential venue. We host intimate, reservation only salon showings that allow collectors to engage directly with new collections in a focused, personal setting.

These gatherings reflect a return to a more thoughtful way of experiencing art, conversational, immersive, and human.

At the same time, the flexibility of our location and infrastructure allows us to scale. Whether expanding within our building or activating select pop-up exhibitions in Chicago and other key markets, we are able to bring the work into new contexts while maintaining the integrity of the experience.

In every form, online, in studio, or in the field, the goal remains the same: to create access without sacrificing depth, and to build a living, evolving relationship between the work and those who encounter it

We’re A Single Artist Driven Studio & Gallery

We are a single artist driven studio and gallery by design.

In a world where galleries often represent many voices, we’ve chosen to focus on one fully, deliberately, and without dilution.

This is not limitation; it is clarity. It allows for a cohesive body of work, a defined point of view, and a continuity that collectors can follow, understand, and trust over time.

Every piece you encounter here is part of a larger narrative connected in intent, in evolution, and in authorship.

For us, it means complete accountability to the work. There is no outsourcing of vision, no fragmentation of identity. What is created in the studio is what defines the gallery.

This alignment ensures that every release whether a large-format masterwork or a limited edition meets the same standard of discipline, meaning, and execution. It also allows us to document the journey with precision, building a living archive that strengthens provenance and long-term value.

For you, it creates a more direct and meaningful relationship with what you collect. You are not acquiring from a rotating inventory you are stepping into an evolving body of work. You see the progression. You understand the context. You have access to the story behind the piece and, often, the process itself.

That connection transforms collecting from a transaction into participation into being part of something that is still being written.

This is what it means to be single artist driven: focus, continuity, and a shared experience between creator and collector that grows more valuable over time.

Advisory on Viewing & Acquisition of Large Format Works

Our large-format works are created to be experienced—not simply viewed. When available, we strongly encourage these pieces to be seen in person, ideally within a gallery or private salon setting. The scale, texture, depth, and presence of each work reveal themselves fully only in a physical environment, where light, space, and proximity become part of the experience.

While we understand that collectors may wish to acquire works without an in-person viewing, it is important to note that, due to their valuation and our All Sales Final policy, proceeding without firsthand experience is not in the best interest of either the collector or the gallery. These works represent a significant and intentional acquisition, and we believe the decision should be made with complete confidence and clarity.

For those unable to attend in person, we are happy to arrange private virtual showings, detailed walkthroughs, and direct consultations to provide the closest possible experience prior to acquisition.

Why the Gallery Store Experience Matters Just As Much

More Than a Purchase — A Moment of Alignment
Acquiring a work from The Distelheim Gallery is not transactional—it is personal. Each piece represents a moment in time, a lived experience, and a defined point within a larger narrative. To acquire one is to align with that moment and carry it forward as part of your own story.

Art as Record, Legacy, and Continuity
These works are created with intention and authorship at their core. They are part of a disciplined, evolving body of work—collected not simply for aesthetic appeal, but for their place within a broader cultural and personal legacy. Ownership becomes participation in that continuity.

Scarcity, Authorship, and Value
From large-format masters to limited editions and select design objects, each offering is structured with clarity around scarcity and authorship. This is not mass production—it is deliberate creation. Acquiring early or at key release moments carries both emotional and long-term value.

The Gallery Store as an Extension of the Studio
The Gallery Store is not a separate entity—it is a direct extension of the studio practice. Every item, whether a major work, a limited edition print, a boxed set, or a wearable, originates from the same artistic vision and process.

A Point of Entry for Every Collector

Not every acquisition needs to begin with a large-format work. The store offers thoughtfully designed entry points—accessible, giftable, and collectible formats that allow new and seasoned collectors alike to engage with the work in meaningful ways.

An Evolving Experience — Not a Static Catalog

The Gallery Store is continuously evolving. New works, seasonal releases, and special editions are introduced regularly, making each visit a discovery. What is available today may not be available tomorrow—timing matters.

Designed for Exploration and Confidence
Visiting the Gallery Store allows collectors to explore at their own pace while still benefiting from the structure and integrity of the gallery’s curation. For those seeking deeper engagement, the store naturally leads to private viewings, salon invitations, and direct conversations.

The Invitation
Whether you are considering a significant acquisition or beginning your journey with a smaller piece, we invite you to spend time with the work. Explore the Gallery Store. Discover what resonates. Because in the end, the right piece doesn’t just fit your space—it reflects something essential about who you are.
