Final Sale Policy

All Sales Are Final

A Distelheim Gallery Narrative

At The Distelheim Gallery, every acquisition is approached not as a transaction, but as a moment of alignment.

Each work is created within a defined context—of time, place, and personal urgency—and is presented with the intention that it finds its way to the right collector. Because of this, the process leading up to acquisition is designed to be thoughtful, informed, and deeply considered.

Collectors  are encouraged to engage with the work beyond the surface—through narrative, material detail, scale, and, whenever possible, direct conversation with the Gallery and artist. Additional images, video, and contextual insight are made available upon request, ensuring that each decision is made with clarity and confidence.

Whether a work is acquired through a private appointment, salon presentation, or online engagement, the same principle applies:

The time to ask questions is before acquisition.
The moment of purchase reflects certainty.

For this reason, all sales are final.

This policy reflects long-standing practices within the fine art world, where works are unique or released in strictly limited form, and where value is intrinsically tied to provenance, condition, and continuity of ownership.

It also reflects our belief that collecting is not casual.

To acquire a work from The Distelheim Gallery is to make a deliberate choice—to live with a piece of a larger story, to participate in a moment that cannot be replicated, and to assume stewardship of something that carries both creative and cultural significance.

We honor that decision by ensuring the acquisition process is as transparent, accessible, and complete as possible.

And in return, we ask that each acquisition be made with intention.

Because at The Distelheim Gallery, a work is not simply purchased.

It is placed.

And once placed, it remains.
